What the college says

Exam board: OCR – MEI Specification. This is a new 2017 specification. The changes include: New linear structure: All assessment will take place at the end of the course. Exam questions may draw on the content of the whole A Level. New emphasis: There will be more emphasis on problem solving, reasoning, and modelling, and a requirement for the use of technology to permeate teaching and learning. New content: There is some optional content within A Level Further Mathematics. It will include pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics (including analysis of large data sets). An indication of optional content is given below but please be aware that this may change slightly depending upon the requirements of the students in each cohort. We will make the decision about the optional modules once we know who has signed up to the course and how students progress, so that we can cater to best meet the needs of students in the group. This decision will vary from year to year.
