Students study Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics. Pure Mathematics develops the ideas met at GCSE, such as Algebra, Graphs, and Trigonometry. Mechanics discusses forces that act on bodies and any resultant motions with the help of modelling. Statistics is the study of data. Students must be competent in manipulating algebraic equations and should enjoy interpreting graphs.

What you need to get on

Five GCSEs grade 9-4 and a satisfactory school reference.Including English Language at grade 5 and maths at grade 7 as a minimum.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
