A Level Further Mathematics is a challenging qualification that extends knowledge and understanding beyond A Level Mathematics. Mathematically rich university courses such as Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Computing or the Sciences look favourably upon, and sometimes require, a Further Mathematics qualification. Students considering these options should strongly consider Further Mathematics, especially those students thinking about studying a fourth A Level.

What you need to get on

Standard Sixth Form entry (3 GCSEs at Grade 5 and 2 GCSEs at Grade 4) plus Grade 7 in GCSE Maths. (However a Grade 8+ is recommended and must be studied alongside A-Level Mathematics)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
