This challenging course is for students who enjoy and demonstrate a high degree of competence in maths GCSE and want to extend their knowledge and understanding alongside A level maths. It's particularly suitable for you if you intend to study highly mathematical disciplines at university such as mathematics, engineering, the sciences and economics.

What you need to get on

Applicants are required to achieve a minimum of 54 points from the best eight GCSEs (or equivalent) including at least grade 5 at GCSE in English and Maths. Also a grade 7 is required for studying Maths and grade 8 for Further Maths. for Chemistry, Biology or Physics a grade 7 is required in the relevant subject. For all other subjects a grade 6 is required
