The course is assessed at the end of year 13 and involves 3 two hour exams (all calculator). Two thirds of the course involves core maths which extends on the topics covered in the mathematics A Level including topics such as complex numbers, matrices, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions and differential equations. The rest of the course involves the students choosing two out of the following sections: Mechanics ? Dimensional analysis, momentum and collisions, work, energy and power and circular motion.
