This qualification is designed for learners who have some previous experience of English and are designed to help them develop more advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

What you need to get on

Proof of id, proof of residence, proof of address, proof of employment, if self-employed then a completed yearly tax return form, proof of unemployment, basic understanding of computers and Microsoft required, English and Maths initial assessments

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
