Aimed at school leavers. The Foundation Studies department provides further education for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and behavioural problems, who are aged between 16 and 25 years. The three pathways are designed to provide a personalised learning programme. Foundation Studies Pathway to Independence: This programme of study is focused on preparing you for adulthood offering you the opportunity to develop a range of skills that will allow you to live as independently as possible and achieve your aspirations. You will be provided with a practical, engaging and enjoyable programme of learning. Foundation Studies Pathway to Further Education: This programme of study is focused on preparing you for progression to mainstream provision. This course will provide you the opportunity to develop a range of vocational skills and maths and English qualifications to progress to the next level of study in the vocational area of your choice. You will be provided with a practical, engaging and enjoyable programme of learning. Foundation Studies Pathway to Employment This programme of study is focused on preparing you for progression to employment and to help you achieve your aspirations in the workplace. You will be provided with a practical, engaging and enjoyable programme of learning.
