This course will cover the basics of floral design with a focus on seasonal displays and these skills will enable you to adapt and create beautiful designs.Week one: Front facing contemporary arrangementWeek two: Valentine’s Day heart arrangementWeek three: Triangular spring arrangement Week four: Hand-tied bouquet in cellophaneWeek five: Springtime posyPlease bring the following to every session of the course:Secateurs \ floristry scissors Gloves (optional)In addition, for the first week, please bring:A small container that will hold water An oasis to fit in the container Pot tape A selection of flowers of your choice - about 20 stems, for example: lisianthus, roses, carnations, chrysanthemum, spray rose, gypFoliage: some longer stems and some bigger leaves would be helpful, for example: hard ruscus, rosemary, bay, ivy or whatever you can find in the garden. For subsequent weeks, you will be issued in advance with a list of flowers and other materials to bring with you to the class each week. Please note, that the cost of these will be at your own expense.
