The sports sector continues to grow and it is an exciting time to get involved. We have developed close links with local sports coaching companies and also BWD and you will engage with further guest speakers. The course itself has examined and coursework-based units which are designed to develop your knowledge of practical sports performance and analysis, fitness testing and programming, leadership and coaching, anatomy, sport psychology and the impact of lifestyle as well as enhancing your employability skills. You will take part in classroom based, practical, leadership and outdoor sessions. Alongside the study programme you also complete a Level 2 Sports Leaders qualification which is industry recognised. If required you can also study Maths and English GCSE's which will enable progression onto a Level 3 study programme.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
