What the college says
Are you a creative thinker, committed, enthusiastic and full of ideas? Do you want to explore the world around you visually through fabric designing, making garments or soft furnishings or working creatively with stitch? If so then A Level Textiles is for you. We place emphasis on the individual, and encourage our students to use Textiles to explore their own interests and ideas, rather than set traditional projects. This is an exciting new course this year. You will be given one-to-one guidance to help you direct your studies in a purposeful way so that you achieve your potential at examination.

GCSE Textiles at grade 5 or above.

Short courses, awards and certificates that do not fit the main routes.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Not on the Section 96 list, but a school or college runs it full time, so check the age range with them.
