What the college says

The Extended Project Qualification is an AS Level qualification that is aimed at extending and developing the learners main programme of study. The EPQ begins in the summer term of Year 12 and is completed in Year 13. It is based around a topic chosen by the student involving an extended research project. Learners are required to: 1. Choose an area of interest 2. Draft a title and aims of the project for approval by the centre 3. Plan, research and carry out the project 4. Analyse, evaluate and synthesise data sets 5. Deliver a presentation to a specified audience 6. Provide evidence of all stages of project development and production for assessment.

What you need to get on

Students must be signed on to an A Level or Applied General course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
