Extended Projects offer an opportunity to really explore the subjects you find the most inspiring. The outcomes can range from the classic written dissertation through web pages, applications, artistic works and technical designs to performance art. There is no limit to what you can cover and you will be guided in developing the skills necessary to work independently to see a project through. Your EPQ is graded like any other qualification with an A*-E range. An EPQ is almost equivalent to an AS-level but is worth more UCAS points. Many University courses will now take EPQ into account when making offers and is becoming increasingly encouraged. CONTENTManage Identify, design plan and complete your extended project - This can be a solo enterprise or you can work as part of a team in which case the roles and responsibilities of the individual team members will form part of this management process. You will demonstrate how you have applied organisation skills and strategies to meet your planned objectives and outcome. 20% of the final marks. Use of resources- Find and select information from a range of sources to inform and develop your project. This can include not only written work but also interviews, exhibitions, performances, anything in fact that can be used to influence or inform your work. 20% of your final marks. What you need to get on
Standard entry requirement is 38 points from 8 GCSE subjects (eg Grade 8 = 8 points) with at least a Grade 4 in English and Mathematics. Students need to gain at least a Grade 6 in a GCSE that they wish to continue at A Level
