The EPQ is a Level 3 stand alone qualification and an opportunity for 6th form students to study independently. The qualification is excellent preparation for university and work, teaching key fundamental skills. This unique learning opportunity gives students an academic advantage over others at university and can lead to 'discount entrance offers'. Cambridge University has stated that 'Students with the EPQ were more likely than those without it to obtain a good degree'.
