What the college says

Students will also be given the opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) alongside their three A Level subjects. EPQ is high valued by universities and a number will reduce their standard offer for selected subjects on the basis of successful completion of this. It is an exciting opportunity to complete an independent study project on a topic entirely of your own choosing. The best projects are able to bridge the gap between A-level subjects, personal interests and career or university aspirations. It will take the form of either a 5000 word research project or an artefact (e.g. DVD/sculpture/art/event) with an accompanying 1000+ word report. “Southampton University Learn with US Transition Programme is proud to support the excellent Corfe Hills School Sixth Form EPQ programme which offers students the opportunity to excel in academic skills that will support them in their future endeavours whatever path they choose to follow.” Dr Emma Thompson, Learn with US Transition Leader, Southampton University
