The EPQ is an independent research project that prepares you for university study and employment by giving: An experience of deeper study than is possible at A level; An opportunity to explore a specialised topic; Confidence to work independently and creatively; Practice in essay writing, independent research and formal oral presentation skills.
What you need to get on
You will ideally be following a programme equivalent to 3 A levels although all students will be considered. It will be suited to Year 12 or Year 13 students. However, it should be noted that this is marked at the equivalent of an A2 qualification rather than an AS, so requires a high level of literacy.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
