What the college says

During Year 12, students have the option to undertake an additional qualification. The Extended Project Qualification [EPQ] provides students with an opportunity to carry out an extended piece of research into a topic of their own choosing. This could be linked to chosen A-levels, or it could be related to an area of personal interest. The EPQ requires planning, research and evaluation, with the final product being a 5000 word dissertation, a performance or the production of an ‘artefact’. These must then be completed by the following November [The EPQ is graded as half an A-level] and is looked at very favourably by universities.
