What the college says

The Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) is different to other courses because it enables you to undertake independent research in a topic you find interesting. It is valued by many universities. You will research a project of your choosing, which you will then develop into either a 5,000 word report, performance or artefact. Alongside your research you will communicate your findings in a presentation at the end of the course. Throughout your course you will be supported by a tutor. The EPQ is worth 50% of an A-level and gives you more UCAS points than an AS level (20 for grade E, up to 70 for a grade A*).
