What the college says

The EPQ gives students the opportunity to explore a topic of interest in greater depth whether by writing an extended reportor producing an artefact ? this can range from designing a website to completing a sculpture. Since its introduction WeaversAcademy students have enjoyed success at above national average year on year; as well as this students have placed greatvalue in how well this qualification has prepared them not only for the demands of university study but also as an opportunityto study a topic of interest in greater depth. Whilst largely undertaken by Year 13 students, Year 12 students who have aparticular interest are welcome to engage with the project during their first year. Further to this, the EPQ forms an integral partof the Academy?s Realising Opportunities Programme. Further details are available in the Widening Participation section of the prospectus
