This qualification is a well-respected Leadership Award in the Arts. The skills that you learn as a leader will prepare you both for employment and further education. It is also worth 16 UCAS points which is the equivalent of a B grade as AS Level. The course is designed for those interested in the arts - your specialism can be any arts discipline such as singing, playing an instrument, dance, acting, painting, sculpting, poetry, creative writing, animation, film making, photography, fashion design, stage lighting, stage management.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirements for students are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. In addition, students also need to have secured a Grade 4 GCSE in Mathematics and English.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
