The course develops your abilities in both single-player and multiplayer team events. With Esports experiencing rapid growth in recent years, it has created hundreds of new jobs worldwide across the entertainment sector. You will also build a wide range of transferable skills such as organising competitions, coaching players, and commentating on games (shoutcasting).This course supports both practical and professional skills development. You will create business plans to build teams, foster online communities, and promote your events through digital marketing. Additionally, the course explores important emerging topics affecting the industry, including ethical and legislative regulations, psychology for Esports performance, and nutrition for Esports athletes.Alongside mandatory units, you can choose from optional units including: Producing an Esports brandGames DesignVideo ProductionPsychology for Esports This programme offers pathways into the exciting Esports gaming industry and careers in sales, marketing, or event management. You will develop entrepreneurship and enterprise skills to launch a start-up or secure employment in large organisations. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities to progress to higher-level qualifications such as the Level 3 Esports Diploma
What you need to get on
You will be required to have achieved English at Level 1, You will be required to have achieved Maths at Level 1, You will need to have achieved a minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above, You should have a genuine interest in this subject
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
