What the college says
This course is for you: if you want to learn about life in the UK if you want to improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening in English to help you in your everyday life and work In this course, you will develop speaking and listening, reading and writing skills. Each term includes all four skills but focuses on a specific skill for the exam taken in that term. When you pass each skill you will receive a certificate for that particular skill. To achieve the full ESOL Entry Level 1 qualification, you must pass Speaking and Listening Entry Level 1, Reading Entry Level 1 and Writing Entry Level 1.

You will take an initial assessment which will determine your current level of English.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
