Students will be taught in lessons where they will drive discussion and be involved in seminar-style learning; the teacher will use their experience and expertise to guide articulation of an exciting array of thoughts and opinions. tudents will be encouraged to read a wide range of texts from writers including Shakespeare, Fitzgerald, Atwood and other novelists, playwrights and poets. Lessons encourage students to demonstrate their knowledge and analysis of the both the set texts and those which they have chosen to read. A passion for reading and writing essays is essential.

What you need to get on

Entry to Hinchley Wood Sixth Form is dependent on achieving 7 GCSE passes, comprising level 9 - 4 grades. A minimum of grade 4 is required in Maths as well as a grade 5 at GCSE English Language or GCSE English Literature.
