It is envisaged that most students who opt for A-level English Literature will have a specific interest in literature already and will enjoy reading for pleasure and for study. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys discussing texts and expressing your views. A study of literature involves the examination of society and the universal truths of the human condition. By studying English Literature you will learn to view the world around you with different eyes.

What you need to get on

GCSE English Literature at Grade 6 or above and at least 4 GCSE Grades 9-6.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
