This challenging course will develop students knowledge and understanding of English Literature through the study of novels, plays and poetry. The course encourages students to develop an interest in and enjoyment of English Literature, through reading widely, critically and independently, across centuries, genre and gender, and through experience of an extensive range of views about texts and how to read them.

Students should have achieved a level 4 or above in GCSE English Language and level 6 in GCSE English Literature.
