What the college says

If you enjoy reading and think it's important, it is worth considering Advanced Level Literature. An interest in what writers think about people, their relationships and their response to life is one of the basic reasons for studying Literature. A further reason is the satisfaction which derives from understanding how a text is put together; how meaning is created. When you read widely, it is enriching to compare different writers' visions of life, and to understand how these views relate to their particular society. Modules & Assessment Component 1 - 30% DRAMA (Examination 2 hours 15 minutes) Shakespeare (Othello), drama text (A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams), a critical anthology to enrich the study of the Shakespeare play.
