What the college says
English literature is a subject that, by its nature, requires learners to consider individual, moral, ethical, social, cultural and contemporary issues. This specification provides a framework for exploration of such issues. As learners progress through the two year course, their studies will be extended in breadth and depth, developing and enhancing techniques of analysis, evaluation and comparison of literary texts in the context of a wide range of cultural and literary significance.
What you need to get on
Level 3 Academic Route Entry Requirements: Minimum of five Grade 5s or above in separate subjects. A minimum of a Grade 5 in English or Maths and at least a Grade 4 in the other. Each subject will also have their own entry criteria which have to be adhered to.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
