What the college says

This specification allows students who have enjoyed the opportunity to study specific texts in GCSE Literature to extend their knowledge. This course focusses on the study of genre; the two specific genres in the course are tragedy and comedy. Just as meanings of texts are not fixed, neither are definitions of genre, which frequently change and become blurred. Throughout the course, students will explore how the two genres are used throughout their specific texts.
