What the college says
During this exciting one-year course, you will learn theoretical and practical skills in engineering. You will have practical sessions in our dedicated workshops where you will learn about engineering machinery, touch upon computer-aided design (CAD) and improve your mathematical and scientific knowledge.
What you need to get on
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
