What the college says
This course is for anyone who is interested in practical engineering and design / manufacturing. There are four units: Unit 1 : Engineering Principles - externally assessed. Unit 2 : Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team - internally assessed. Unit 3 : Engineering Product Design and Manufacture - externally assessed. Unit 10 is Computer-aided Design in Engineering - internally assessed. Contact provider for more information as this may not be up to date course information.
What you need to get on
A minimum of five GCSE’s at level 4 from five separate subjects including a 4 in mathematics or a distinction in BTEC engineering or a level 4 in a design and technology subject, along with an average points score of 4.0 (or more). Because of the increased science and mathematics element, it Is also recommended that you have a level 4 or above in science.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
