What you need to get on
Applicants will need to have 4 GCSEs at grade 4-9(A-C) or above including Mathematics, English and ideally Science All candidates need to produce references and to be successful at interview. OR must; Have obtained a Level I electrical qualification, and have also achieved or are working towards Functional Skills in English and Maths at level 2, or have completed a Level II Basic Skills qualification in English and Maths or equivalent.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
