The course will appeal to students who: wish to; pursue a career in an economics related profession, enjoy studying a subject that affects their own everyday rights, want to keep their options open - Economics can be combined with a wide range of social sciences and humanities subjects. It is important that students have an interest in economic affairs and a desire to explore why and how the study of Economics contributes to an understanding of the modern world.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 5 passes at grade 5 or higher at GCSE, 3 of which must be a grade 6 or higher. Within these passes there must be a 6 in English Language or Literature, and a 6 in Maths.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
