This full-time course is designed to offer an introduction to electrical installation theory as well as the opportunity to develop practical skills. It is suitable for school leavers or people who are unemployed and wish to change career. The C&G 2365 is a technical certificate which will give you the underpinning knowledge required to develop a wide range of skills including installation, commissioning and maintenance During the course you will study the following: - Unit 201: Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering - Unit 202: Principles of Electrical Science - Unit 203: Electrical Installations Technology - Unit 204: Installation of Wiring Systems and Enclosures - Unit 210: Understand How to Communicate with Others within Building Services Engineering

What you need to get on

GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths, English Language and Science or an equivalent. A place on the course is subject to a successful interview, a college assessment and a satisfactory reference indicating that learners are punctual and reliable.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
