Our EAL level 2 diploma is designed for 16-18 year old students forming part of a study programme, who wish to pursue a career in Engineering. The course will give you the opportunity to gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the Engineering sector. You will study a range of core Engineering subjects in both Mechanical/Manufacturing and Electrical/Electronics Engineering which will support your progression to an apprenticeship scheme or an appropriate level 3 programme of study. Theoretical elements of the course are delivered in modern, well-equipped classrooms, whilst practical elements are based in state of the art, industry standard workshops and laboratories. We incorporate a wide range of trips and visits into the course, including the opportunity to complete Industry Placements in Spain and Portugal. The course is delivered over a 32-week period. If you are aged 16 to 18, you will be enrolled on a study programme. This will include retaking GCSEs or undertaking Functional Skills in English and maths if you haven't already achieved a grade 4 or above.
