At HWS, we will provide students with a knowledge and understanding of the language of drama and theatre at the same time as developing, performing and analytical skills. The course aims to extend an understanding of the theatre, playwrights and play devising and includes the studying plays from the viewpoint of a director, designer, performer and critic.

What you need to get on

Entry to Hinchley Wood Sixth Form is dependent on achieving 7 GCSE passes, comprising level 9 - 4 grades. A minimum of Grade 4 is required in Maths and English; as well as a grade 4 in GCSE Drama, if Drama not taken as a GCSE then a grade 5 in GCSE English Language or English Literature

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
