This course is for A-level drama and theatre studies is for students who enjoy reading and watching plays, and taking part in them, whether performing, directing or designing sets and costumes. It offers students the freedom to choose both the content and the form of their practical presentations. The qualification allows students to study drama and theatre in an academic setting, interrogating this art form and applying their knowledge and understanding to the process of creating and developing drama and theatre and to their own performance work. At A Level, students will study an additional practitioner and students will study two complete texts and three extracts from different texts. What you need to get on

A minimum of five GCSE’s at level 4 or equivalent at GCSE from five separate subjects, with an average points score of 4.0 or more.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
