This course is about making and understanding theatre and learning about how it reflects the world around us. The course is both practical and there is a significant amount of theory and writing. WHERE DOES IT LEAD? It will be useful if you are thinking of all sorts of careers such as media, advertising, public relations, teaching, sales or journalism as well as areas associated with theatre. Gaining an A Level in Theatre Studies shows employers that you are confident, able to communicate well and cooperate in a group situation. COURSE DETAILS:You will explore two contrasting set plays and will write about them in a written examination. You will also see a range of live theatre and analyse and evaluate the actors' skills and design techniques used. Additionally there is a strong practical element to the course and you will perform both scripted and devised work to public audiences. This is an exciting and creative course which has strong elements of practical and theory.

5 GCSEs @ Grades 4-9, including 6+ in GCSE drama and 6+ in GCSE English Language

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
