The A Level Drama and Theatre Studies course combines practical exploration of play texts, opportunities for devising theatre and performance of play scripts with analytical and theoretical study of live performance and set texts. You will need to be both academic and creative in your approach to the course, with an open-mindedness towards both traditional theatre styles and practitioners and more contemporary theatre. This course is ideally suited to committed, enthusiastic and creative individuals who want to develop their knowledge of theatre and how it reflects and is influenced by the society and time in which it is made. This is a course to develop both your performance skills and your understanding of theatre and drama.
