What the college says
This course demands practical, creative and communication skills. Students will extend their ability to create Drama and Theatre, either in a performing or production role. The course will involve taking part in productions, studying plays and playwrights and regular visits to the Theatre. It can lead to further study in Drama, Theatre Studies and Performing Arts in Higher Education at Degree level.
What you need to get on
Six GCSEs at Grade 5 or above. It is essential that students have an interest in understanding how Theatre and plays work and have a passion to be part of and watch theatrical performances. Rehearsals for exam work will sometimes take place at weekends and/or during holidays.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
