What the college says

Whilst studying the Diploma in Women�s Hairdressing Level 2, you will add to the skills you gained at Level 1. Lessons will provide you with practical and theoretical skills relating to the hairdressing sector. If you are attening this course on a full time basis, you will be required to attend a work placement. This course is available on a full time or part time basis. Part time is taught over two evenings or two days per week, the full time course is ran over 3 days per week.

What you need to get on

Minimum 4 GCSE's at grades 3 - 2 (D - E) or equivalent, including a D in Maths and English, or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject area.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
