NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing preferably completed at college within the last year, but will consider an NVQ Level 1 completed elsewhere within the last three years You will be required to attend an interview and sit an initial assessment in English and maths A practical skills test is required to determine skill level You will achieve

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
