This City & Guilds level 2 diploma (6706-23) is the industry recognised qualification for trades people wanting to work in the construction industry. Well trained and skilled carpenters can enjoy excellent employment and are well paid typically 200 per day.This level 2 diploma is designed to develop your skills and the knowledge needed to build a career in the industry as a carpenter. You will study both practical and knowledge units. On completion of this diploma you will be able to go into the workplace become an apprentice or progress onto the next level of training. The course runs over 2 1/2 days plus any maths and English you may need.

Completion of a level 1 Carpentry qualification or relevant prior knowledge or experience within the industry

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
