We believe that the arts campus is very special: a dedicated space for your creative journey. As a performer you will collaborate in the creation of events and shows, creating some amazing memories along the way. You should have an active interest in the performing arts and be willing to work creatively as part of a team. The programme draws together acting, dance and vocal skills through theatre-based projects and performances. This one year foundation course will allow you to develop skills both academically and practically with the benefit of smaller groups to focus on you as an individual. By completing this course, you will achieve a University of Arts London (UAL) Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts & Production (Performance). We know that each student will have different skill levels and we will challenge and support you in equal measures as you explore your discipline and grow in skills and confidence. During the course you will look at acting skills and techniques to perform contemporary and classical theatre through scripted plays and devised plays. Improvisation techniques, development of physical and vocal skills for actors will all play a part of your training. Each year in January the Theatre Arts students take part in an optional residential in London visiting shows, exhibitions and taking part in workshops with musical theatre companies responsible for shows such as 'Hadestown', ?Come from Away? and 'Everybody?s Talking about Jamie' for example.
