This is an excellent introduction for those wanting to access the Level 3 Diploma in Theatre & Events Technology. The course will provide you with an introduction into Technical Theatre and it will give you the grounding in key elements of the industry; - Production and Stage Management: Learn the intricate skills required to organise performances and events. - Working behind the scenes to run a theatrical production or event. - Lighting for Dance, Plays and Musical Theatre performances. - Intimate music gigs. - Set Design: Create, design and build scenery and staging for a variety of productions. - Design and build scenery and staging. - Props: design, create and source props for a variety of productions. - Explore skills in mixin
What you need to get on
- 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English Language & Maths. - A reference from your previous school or college. - A successful interview.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
