This NCFE CACHE Level 2 Introducing Caring for Children and Young People Diploma will give you a basic understanding of childcare and education. It is both knowledge and skills based to help you to make informed choices about working with children and young people.
What you need to get on
The entry requirements for the Level 2 Introducing Caring for Children and Young People Diploma are five GCSEs at grade 2 or above (Old GCSE grade E or above), preferably in English and Maths (or equivalent) or an Entry 3 qualification. If you are unable to meet these entry qualifications, an alternative course is the 'Caring for Children Diploma Level 1'.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
