Our Childcare Level 2 course is the perfect starting point to kick off your career in early childhood education.The Childcare Level 2 course is designed for students who are passionate about working with young children and want to build the skills and knowledge needed to support their development. This course provides a strong foundation in early years education, focusing on the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of children from birth to five years old.

What you need to get on

3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. In addition, you will need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16�18 when you start.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
