The Level 1 Diploma in Engineering technologies is a one-year course. No prior engineering knowledge, understanding skills or qualifications are required to apply for this course. This course has been developed to give learners an introduction into Engineering. It will allow students to be immersed into Engineering technologies and will allow them to in the future pick a specific area of Engineering which may interest them.

At least three GCSEs at Grade 3 or above in a good range of subjects including GCSE English, Mathematics and Science.
