The Level 2 Electrical Installations Technology (Building and Structures) has been developed by an industry approved awarding body. It comprises both theory and practical sessions that when completed, and achieved, gives you Level 2 qualification. You will gain the skills and knowledge to progress further within the industry and follows approved, structured and recognised assessment processes.
What you need to get on
The entry qualifications for the Level 2 Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) Diploma are two GCSEs grade 4 or above (Old GCSE grade C or above) in Maths and English, plus a further two GCSE grades 3 or above (Old GCSE grading D or above) one preferably in science. Satisfactory school reference and good attendance report.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
