To apply for this qualification, you must have achieved: GCSE grade 3 or above in maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 1 in maths and English
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
