Always wanted to work in Early Years but unsure where to start? Our Early Years programme is here to help! This exciting childcare programme is a mix of study and work. You will gain the Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner and gain valuable work experience in a childcare setting along the way.
What you need to get on
You will need to be working, volunteering or have a practical placement in a childcare setting, with children aged between birth to 5 years, as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Approved for 16 to 18 study on the government's Section 96 list.
