In this safe and supportive environment, you'll achieve anything you put your mind to! As part of the course you may also study English and maths to develop your employability skills.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above, including English and maths. Please note: If you have not achieved Level 3 GCSE Maths/English, you will resit these GCSEs alongside your main college course. You should show a genuine interest in the study of public services, be disciplined and committed to working hard.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
